Autodesk launched Autodesk Revit 2025 in April 2024. This new version brought several significant improvements to modeling, documentation and collaboration and continues to be one of the most powerful, well-known and widespread BIM tools used by architects, engineers and construction professionals.

Improvements in terrain design and topography:

It is now possible to create Toposolids using the Model by Face tool, allowing greater flexibility in designing complex topographies. Excavation tools have been improved, allowing precise cuts into existing Toposolids using floors, roofs, masses or other Toposolids.

Additionally, it is possible to host face-based families on the exposed sides of an excavation. The grading process has also been optimized, with the ability to snap to 3D points on reference geometry, including linked DWG files.

Total Carbon Analysis:

Revit 2025 includes the next generation of Autodesk Insight, which provides carbon analysis for architects. You can now assess the environmental impact of your design, considering carbon emissions throughout the building’s lifecycle.

Enhancements for concrete and steel modeling and documentation:

Revit 2025 brings improvements to the modeling and documentation of concrete and steel elements. In addition, there are additional features for structural and MEP engineers, supporting analysis and fabrication.

Other Autodesk Revit 2025 improvements:

• Sheet Collections: It is now possible to group sheets into collections, which improves documentation efficiency.
• Single and Empty Element Arrays: Following a long-standing request, it is now possible to create single and empty element arrays.
• Autodesk Docs Connectivity: Enhanced integration with Autodesk Docs for project management.
• Enhancements to openBIM Workflows and Data Exchange: Facilitating collaboration with other tools and formats.
